This park has it all -- a beautiful lake, swim beach, boat and bicycle rentals, lots of bike and hiking trails, and a chance to walk across the headwaters of the mighty Mississippi River. Restrooms are clean, well-lit and conveniently located. The park currently has a number of free wireless hot spots and there is a lot to see in the park and the surrounding area, including the communities of Park Rapids and Bemidji. The sites are pretty close together but trees and bushes screen neighbors somewhat. There is a tour boat on the lake that offers a 2 hour tour that is worth the time and money. We had a wonderful week here.
