The park is well maintained, and over staffed. There were volunteer hosts everywhere, driving their Gator vehicles all over the place. There is plenty to do around the area, we even went to a Drive In Movie outside Belfair. Now how fun is that! The canal is great to swim in, with excellent oyster picking and clam digging available. The hiking and mountain biking are a bit of a drive away, and the Tahuya Forest is georgous. Be aware there are a lot of moto/atv trails in the forest, but good maps are available on line. My only complaint with Belfair is it\\\'s BUSY! There were a lot of people in each site, recorded music playing at many sites, soccer games in the road, etc. The sites are medium size, we had to move the picnic table and hand push the Cobalt into site 135. It was very cozy and comfortable once we got set up. The best sites looked to be in the 140\\\'s and 150\\\'s along the shoreline, away from the road noise and traffic. We will most likey not go back in the near future, to many other places to check out.
