liz heroin, crack, meth wateevhr. same difference. anyway, andrew, no one's saying james (or liz's opinions) are worthless. if i can speak for the others for a second, i think we're just saying they're not worth too much. james could certainly get a job someday whether it's fry guy at bk or used car salesman and then actually contribute something to the world and liz may actually start make some decent points beyond her bleeding heart twaddle.

We stayed here during the Kamp and Kare weekend (buy one night, get one free) so the CG was full! Our site was in the back along the trench and it was HUGE. The pull-through full hookup sites were much smaller. Loved all the activities for the kids, the heated pool, and the jumping pillow. My only complaint is that the shower floors were muddy every time I went in there. We will go back again.

Most sites were small but ours was fairly big. We were overcharged at check in by $36. The campground is clean and facilities are very nice. Probably why they chage so much. We had a good time though until we tried to reserve our site for next year. They told us we needed to give them an additional $20 in order to be guaranteed the site we wanted. Our deposit just guaranteed us a site, of their choosing, in the park. Told them we were not going to be robbed and are looking for another camp for Halloween next year.

I'm going to echo a previous entry. Overall, pretty nice. The sites were a little close together and we had two LARGE contingents of folks, in tents, who evidently didn't notice the quiet hours sign when they first arrived. However, the next two nights were much better as someone from the staff told to quiet down and we had no further problems. It has a nice large pool, large game room, INDOOR basketball court and a large field for the kids to play in that also had a live band on saturday night. The bath-houses were generally very clean with a nice feature being that they were seperate from the bathroom, with a large shower area and a seperate changing area. The down-side to the bath-houses was that there was no soap tray on the wall of the shower stall. Kind of a small thing, but all the people in our party made a comment about it. However, it did not distract from the overall experience of the campground. Friendly staff, nice campstore. Great location, right next to the Harpers Ferry National Park. Charles Town, WV is a few miles down the road where a 24 hour Walmart Supercenter is located, along with quite a few eating establishments. However, downtown Harpers Ferry itself had quite a few quaint eateries that also looked very nice, and it's a little closer. Overall, a pretty nice CG.

nice place, just off rt 340, at the entrance to the national park. a little pricey, but nice amenities. pool, bikerentals, gym, horseshoes, volleyball, theater, etc. large and friendly camp staff. bath house nice. showers are seperate from the bathrooms, nhave a large changing area. down sides-busy place. real full routinely. most sites are back-in, all sites are smallish and lucky to get a levell one. all are wooded. noisy place. access roads are small and tight-my tv got hit by a guy trying to swing hi9s 5th wheel tight enough to clear a tree, and the neighbor. i was off the road a good foour feet. plenty of poppers there with us, but we got mixed in with and surrounded by tent campers. out of staters, fireworks all night, let kids set off stink bombs in the day. loud music. lots of attituess. ni9ce place-would recommned it to someone i like, but we had some bad luck. Very poor service. Sites unlevel and uncared for - location of w/s/e in the wrong place for hookups. Extra charge for children & pets. Too much money for poor attitudes!

We took our 25' hybrid to the Harpers Ferry KOA and had a great time. The sites were a little close together, but it was tolerable since there were a lot of trees. We called a few days ahead and had no problems getting electric/water hookups. One word of caution-they do charge an extra $5 for using the dump station--so if you plan on using it, it might be better to get a site that has full hookup. Also, it's a great place to bring your bikes. You can bike ride to the Harpers Ferry park entrance and then take the shuttle bus to the town. They had lots of planned activities and live music. The kids used the pool and they have a nice wooden playground. If you want to get into the river, make sure you ask at the front desk how to get there, because you can't get in (to swim) from the town.
