Good luck in March Sarah! I'm sure it will be an amazing exirepence. About the earphones, I didn't miss mine at all. I was always hearing or seeing something. I may bring them along with me if I do a more rural race in May that is unlikely to offer much crowd support or entertainment. I did enjoy the people in costume. That's one way to get an extra reaction from the crowd and entertain your fellow runners.

If you like camping in the woods, then this is not the place for you. It is more like a resort for campers. They have a lot of things to offer such as a pool, trails, boating, gameroom etc..., but it is not in the woods. It is located on a large lake, and the lake is beautiful, but that is about it for the scenery. The sites are not bad, but some are close together and have very little tree cover. Very easy to get to and the facilities are kept clean. A good campground for those who do not like being far out in the woods.
